Anglická recenze – mám ji dobře?

Dobrý den,
napsala jsem recenzi v angličtině, ale potřebovala bych zkontrolovat, jestli tam nemám chyby. Hlavně v časech si nejsem jistá. Pomůžete?

Let me tell you something about the book of Arcadia-awakening written by Kai Meyer. Arcade – Awakening tells the story about mafia clans, where the Alcanars and Carnevares are two hostile families. The only reason they don’t kill each other is to break the concordat. But when Rosa Alcantar returns to Sicily, everything will change. Already on the plane she meet Alessandro Carnevar, who is to become the next head of the family. The two of them should not associate at all, but they are attracted to themselves as magnets. Rosa decides to help Alessandro find evidence of who killed his mother and learns how it goes in the mafia. But suddenly she finds a big suprise in the form of Arcadian dynasties, of which she had no idea. Everything takes a different direction and begins a struggle for survival. I was very pleased that the story was built on mythology. The other thing that stand for picking up are funny scenes with Rose, which mostly rested in the fact that she was talking back to others. Alessandro was not bad either. I liked his behavior towards Rose. Rosa herself went through hell, but she came out stronger and more daring. Up to the heavens I have to praise the rendering of the Mafia world. If nothing else, the mafia is worth reading. I did not like the slow start. But once you learn about the second part of the book, you will postpone the book with a heavy heart. If you like action, romance and some unexpected things, I definitely recommend a book to you.

v názvu všechna počáteční písmena velká krom předložek a členů > Arcadia-Awakening
ohledně těch časů – když převypravuju děj knihy, lze použít přítomný prostý, ale VŠUDE > i „everything changes“ namísto will change (tam, kde je pak potřeba minulý, lépe předpřítomný > of which she HAS HAD no idea = AŽ DOSUD neměla ponětí)
znepřátelené rodiny = two enemy families (hostile je obecně něco jako „nepřátelsky nakloněný“, ale nevyplývá z toho ta vzájemnost)
concordat je zejména mezi církví a státem, mezi rody by spíš bylo něco jako agreement

… a všechno je jinak – everything takes another turn
„The other thing that stand for picking up“ – nedává vůbec smysl, klasický příklad toho, že ustálené vazby se nemají překládat doslova, jestli to mělo být něco jako „další věc, která stojí za zdůraznění“ = another thing worth pointing out
spočívaly v = consisted in (rest je spočinout fyzicky někde, další příklad doslovně přeložené vazby, která po doslovném překladu nedává smysl)
příběh postavený na – the story was BASED on…
postpone = odložit na později (ne místně, ale časově) > you will put the book back on the shelf nebo tak něco
ta hrdinka se jmenovala Rosa, nebo Rose? Pokaždé to máte jinak
„the Mafia is worth reading“ – jak „mafie stojí za přečtení“? Zločineckou organizaci nelze číst, ta kniha se přece jmenuje jinak
slow introduction (spíš než slow start)
„Up to the heavens I have to praise the rendering of the Mafia world“ – co tím chtěl básník říct? Co chcete „chválit do nebes“?
„I definitely recommend a book to you.“ – školácká chyba v tom členu – vždyť o té knize se bavíme celou dobu a vy nám najednou doporučíte „nějakou knihu“ > THIS book
ještě jsem tam tutově něco přehlédl… nejprve by stálo za to si to po sobě sám přečíst
